Chicago Bears: 10 bold predictions for 2019 NFL free agency
By Ryan Heckman
8. Bears sign Robbie Gould
Now for some positive predictions. If the Bears let go of guys like Long, Amos and Callahan, that must mean there are more pressing issues to fix, right?
Absolutely.

There is no bigger problem on the Bears than the kicking game. In total, Cody Parkey missed 11 kicks in 2018, including the playoffs. Oh, the playoffs. Let’s not go there.
Fan favorite and long-time Bear Robbie Gould will return to Chicago. It feels inevitable, right? Gould still hangs around Chicago often and, as recent as a few days ago, continues to say things like, “Once a Bear, always a Bear.”
After the Bears cut Gould three seasons ago, he went on to have the best three years of his career, statistically speaking. Think about that. The three most accurate seasons of Gould’s career were spent outside of Chicago.
I’m not sure how you could forget just how good he was while in Chicago. He made some big kicks, and is currently the second-most accurate kicker in NFL history (87.745 percent), only behind Justin Tucker (90.114 percent) of the Baltimore Ravens.
Gould deserves a homecoming and he deserves a shot at a Super Bowl. It’s all up to Pace now to bring him home — and I think he will.
