As the Chicago Bears get set for the 2019 NFL free agency period next month, we take a stab at some bold predictions for Ryan Pace and company.

Last year, we were all able to have some fun attempting to predict what might happen for these Chicago Bears during free agency. The team had a solid amount of money and had just hired the right man to lead this franchise in Matt Nagy.

It started with a few cuts. Guys like Josh Sitton, Pernell McPhee and Willie Young were all let loose. That left some gaping holes to fill. But, general manager Ryan Pace, along with Nagy, proved they had a plan and stuck to it.

What was the plan? The plan was pretty simple: Build around second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Get him all of the help he needs to ascend as high as he possibly can in his second season. The defense was already a top-notch unit. The offense, however, needed a lot of work.

The transactions that took place last year, amidst free agency, were quite incredible. In a matter of one offseason, Pace had surrounded Trubisky with new faces like Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and Trey Burton — three new starters who fit the offense very well.

Pace followed up free agency with a fantastic draft, and the rest is history.

This year is going to be a bit different, but that doesn’t mean we won’t try to predict a few things. In fact, what fun are predictions if they aren’t bold? Sure, some may not come true, but we’ve put together some fairly strong takes in the following sequence of slides. Take a look for yourself, and tell us which ones you could see happening and which ones you think are absolutely crazy — seriously, let’s have a conversation. Here we go.
