Chicago Bulls: Grading every move this season
The NBA Trade Deadline has passed, and there was plenty of excitement to go around. While the Chicago Bulls didn’t quite get involved in the waning hours, they certainly made their mark.
It seemed like it was only yesterday. The Chicago Bull’s roster looked vastly different back in October. Now? Completely retooled and revamped(?). During the “in-between”, we experienced nothing short of chaos (and without a doubt more to come). This team has been chock-full of zesty and ridiculous storylines.
I’ll be honest: I am somewhat impressed with what the management was able to accomplish. They did a fair job making deals this season when the opportunities were there.
Considering that the decision to tank once again came as early as mid-December, the front office really made a push to move certain players who they weren’t planning on retaining next year or could get something out of. To a degree, this worked.
Being in the market for collecting assets of any sort means that you may be a little more willing to settle for whatever. This is obviously a wide range, of course, and it’s not like they were going to be picky when it came down to that.
So for the sake of keeping track, I’ll include every transaction Chicago has been involved in this season. Looking back at the first half of the season, there were quite a few moves that the Bulls made — and some that maybe you even forgot about. But we’ll get you back on track.
Due to the “fact” that Gar Forman and John Paxson are our “favorite” NBA executives, let’s play teacher and grade every deal they’ve made this season.
Giddy up. This is going to be a gas.
