No. 1: Send Kris Dunn to the Phoenix Suns for Josh Jackson

The Phoenix Suns are one of the few teams in the NBA that are worse than the Bulls.

However, many are pegging the Suns to be buyers on Thursday, as they have no shortage of young pieces to make a run at the playoffs in the near future.

The only gaping hole on Phoenix in terms of young talent is the point guard position. The Suns have struggled mightily with their point guard play this season, and could be in the market to make a move for their point guard of the future.

Luckily for the Suns, the Bulls are shopping their young point guard, Kris Dunn.

Dunn has reportedly been unhappy with the Bulls’ lack of a direction, and has been discussed extensively in trade talks. Dunn provides stability at the point guard position, as well as above-average defense at the position.

Acquiring Dunn would fix the Suns’ biggest two holes, defense and the point guard position. Dunn is under control for two more seasons, and thus would hold good value.

In exchange for Dunn, the Bulls would want at least one young player and one draft pick. In this deal, they get two young players, and a second round pick.

The first young player is Josh Jackson. The fourth-overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Bulls were reportedly interested in trading up to select Jackson at the time of the draft. Jackson has struggled to find his footing in the NBA, but as a defense-first stretch four, Jackson would fit the Bulls future lineup perfectly.

The Bulls would also acquire another former first round pick, Mikal Bridges. Bridges was the 10th-overall pick of the 2018 NBA draft, and has played good in a limited role in Phoenix. In Chicago, Bridges would take on a bigger role, and would provide plus shooting and defense at the three spot.

The Suns are obviously in the market for a point guard, and they happen to be a match made in heaven for the Bulls. What says a deal can’t get Dunn?
