No. 3: Initiate a blockbuster trade with the Philadelphia 76ers

It’s been a while since the Bulls have been involved in a blockbuster trade.

Well, it’s about time.

Let’s discuss the 76ers return first.

In the last slide, we talked about the 76ers utilization of Portis. However, they could also use another Bulls player that could be available come Thursday.

That player is Kris Dunn. The Bulls third-year point guard has reportedly been upset with the Bulls front office due to their lack of a direction. Dunn would hold solid trade value as a productive passing and defense point guard, two things that the Sixers would love to add to complete their starting lineup.

Now for the Bulls.

In Furkan Korkmaz and Justin Patton, the Bulls essentially add a pair of young role players. Korkmaz’ contract will expire this season, but Patton is in just his second year in the NBA. Patton was part of the Jimmy Butler trade, as Patton was the draft pick sent back to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Obviously, the Bulls would also get a first round pick for both Dunn and Portis. However, this deal first incomplete.

What if the Bulls were to ask for Markelle Fultz in return? Everybody knows how much of a disaster the first two years of Fultz’ career have been. The 2017 First-Overall pick, Fultz has missed just about all of this season, and missed move of last season due to shoulder “injuries”.

Just imagine if the Bulls can work a miracle with Markelle. There is your future point guard. Maybe even a future star. It certainly is a big, big IF, but if the Bulls can hit gold on Fultz, this will be a trade that Bulls fans will never forget.
