Some of the recent Chicago Bulls rumors have them linked to a potential trade involving Anthony Davis.

Sunday night, a bombshell was dropped on the NBA world.

New Orleans Pelicans superstar power forward Anthony Davis has officially requested a trade, as outlined in a statement released by his agent.

Personally, I saw this coming. After years of mediocrity in New Orleans, Davis is due for free agency after next season, and understandably wants to win.

Unfortunately for the Pelicans, this is not possible in New Orleans, and Davis will, whether it be next month or next summer, be on the move.

Now, if Davis wants to win now, the Chicago Bulls won’t be a fit. Long term? Different story.

Davis is from Chicago, and the Bulls are his hometown team. They’ll have the money to make a run at him in 2020, but if given the opportunity to flip the franchise upside down, I think the Bulls would try to bank on that opportunity.

Past Davis, there may be opportunities for the Bulls to improve their roster in a deal involving “The Brow”, working as a third team. A slew of rumors have lead fans to believe that it is possible.

Regardless of how, it is clear that the Bulls need a roster revamping. The opportunity to get involved with a trade involving a generational superstar in Davis doesn’t present itself that often, so it would only be reasonable for the Bulls to get involved.

The trade deadline is just one week away, but that is plenty of time for the Bulls to improve their roster for seasons to come, even if it costs them their highly-coveted first round pick. Here are three trades that the Bulls can make involving Pelicans superstar, and Chicago native Anthony Davis.
