Chicago Bears: 5 NFL Draft prospects to watch at Senior Bowl
By Ryan Heckman
Safety Nasir Adderley, Delaware
Once again, speaking as though the Bears may lose Amos to free agency, Nasir Adderley may not be a bad consolation prize — especially on a rookie contract, of course.
If we were talking about one of the absolute best mixes between Pace and Nagy in this year’s draft, how could you not pick out Adderley?
Small school — check.
Delaware — Nagy knows a thing or two about the Fightin’ Blue Hens.
Adderley may be a tougher one for the Bears to land, as he is one of the better safeties in this year’s draft. Once again, using Bleacher Report as a reference, they have him listed as their no. 4 overall safety prospect. Judging by that, Chicago may need to acquire a pick a bit sooner in this year’s draft.
Nonetheless, if Adderley falls a little bit, the Bears should be all over him. He has experience playing both cornerback and safety. Adderley’s speed and ball skills are what will jump out to you on Saturday. He’s not only quick, but if he gets targeted, he’s going for the football — and chances are, he’ll have a good shot to come up with it.
One of the best traits you’ll see in Adderley is his ability to wrap up when tackling. While someone like Savage may go for a bigger hit, Adderley will ensure he makes the tackle, regardless of how he does it.
