Chicago Bears: These Philadelphia Eagles pose problems
By Ryan Heckman
Defensive Ends Michael Bennett and Brandon Graham
Finally, it is a dynamic duo that the Bears should be worried about off the edge. Like I said earlier, the Eagles’ secondary isn’t all that scary. If Mitch Trubisky gets time in the pocket, this game is as good as over without even being underway.
Michael Bennett and Brandon Graham aren’t talked about much, but they make for an above average tandem rushing the quarterback. Bennett is tied with Cox for the team-lead in sacks with 11, while Graham finished the season with five.
The intriguing thing here, though, is that Graham is second on the team with 56 quarterback pressures. Even though Graham doesn’t boast the sack numbers of Bennett, he is getting to the quarterback much more frequently than his counterpart.
As for Bennett, the Bears know he and his family well. His brother, Martellus Bennett, of course, played for the Bears for a few seasons and was known for his outrageous personality and attitude. In (Michael) Bennett’s case, though, his passion is matched by his effort and skill.
For Trubisky to stay upright in this game, it’ll be up to Charles Leno and Bobby Massie to keep Bennett and Graham at bay.
