The Chicago Bears are playoff-bound for the first time since 2011. Here are some potential matchups that fans could see in the home playoff game(s) at Soldier Field.

The Chicago Bears are finally winning again after multiple last-place seasons. Not only did they clinch the NFC North division championship in week 15, they still have a shot at a first-round playoff bye going into the last week of the season.

It’s been a long wait for Bears fans who have suffered through a lot of pitiful football to come out on the other side with a skilled, entertaining team to watch. There have been some bumps in the road this season, but this team was in control of their own destiny almost the entire year.

The Bears will most likely be the #3 seed in the NFC heading into the playoffs, although there is a scenario where they end up with the #2 seed and a first-round bye.

The preseason predictions about the NFC North didn’t exactly pan out for most experts. The Green Bay Packers are always a threat to make the playoffs with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but the Bears ended their playoff hopes in week 15 this season.

This team was disappointing in their last playoff run, but that really doesn’t matter now as this is a completely different roster with new leadership on and off the field. Fans have renewed hope for the Bears under this new regime.

Even with some hope after the dramatic change from last season, I’m still very nervous about the upcoming playoffs. They can be so unpredictable, and I just hope the Bears can get at least one win under their belt. It’ll be a tough battle no matter who they face.

There are a few interesting possibilities in terms of who the Bears will meet in the playoffs. Here are some potential playoff-matchup scenarios for the resurgent Bears.
