Chicago Bulls: Potential outcomes, destinations for Jabari Parker
By Ryan Heckman
Best case scenario: Trade Parker
There is no question that, if the Bulls do indeed plan to move on from Parker, effective immediately, that the best case scenario would be to get something in return for his services. The rumor mill has been chock full of teams reportedly already active in discussions to better their team before the trade deadline passes on February 7, 2019.
Some of the teams you will see among rumors over the past few weeks are: The Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards and New Orleans Pelicans — among a few more.
Take, for example, the Lakers. LeBron James would apparently like to see Carmelo Anthony by his side in the future, but no one knows if that’s for certain. One thing is for certain, though, and that’s the fact that James is not winning another championship with the current Lakers roster.
The Rockets, meanwhile, are reportedly looking for help on the wing. If they view Parker as a possibility for the three position, maybe they take a flier. After all, they’ve been more than willing to offer picks for wing depth this season — cough, cough, Jimmy Butler.
The Pelicans want to try and make Anthony Davis happy, before losing him in the future, and maybe Parker could help fill that need in the short-term for a team that is not even close to out of the playoff picture right now.
