Chicago Bears Rumors: Mitch Trubisky set to play vs. Rams
By Ryan Heckman
It looks like the latest Chicago Bears rumors and reports suggest Mitch Trubisky will suit up this weekend.
It has been an interesting couple of weeks for the Chicago Bears. They have played two games without starting quarterback Mitch Trubisky, beating the Detroit Lions and falling to the New York Giants.

Needless to say, fans are itching to see Trubisky get back out there, especially because the thought of Chase Daniel taking on the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football seems like a bad dream.
Trubisky was originally hurt after sliding against the Minnesota Vikings a couple of weeks back. Safety Harrison Smith was flagged for his illegal hit on Trubisky after he had slid to the ground.
For the record, Smith was fined around $10,000 for the hit and was not issued a suspension. Trubisky has, of course, missed two games because of the hit.
Both head coach Matt Nagy and his quarterback met with the media on Wednesday, and some of the answers from the man in charge were a little concerning.
Bears sideline reporter Mark Grote reported via Twitter that Nagy was not sure how much Trubisky would practice today. Regardless of his practice load, though, Nagy definitely seemed positive yet non-committal.
The man himself, however, said he felt good about playing against the Rams. When asked if he expects to play this Sunday, Trubisky simply replied:
"”I do.”"
This is great news for the Bears and fans, especially after having watched Daniel fumble what seemed like one hundred times last Sunday. Trubisky gives the team an exponentially better chance of winning if he is on the field.
Trubisky told the media that his arm feels “great” and that he is just excited to get back out there with his guys.
It is abundantly clear that he is the Bears’ offensive MVP this season, and that this group will go as far as he can take them. It sure helps having arguably the league’s top defense, which would currently send eight players to the 2018 Pro Bowl based on the latest voting.
Khalil Mack and company can only do so much, though, so getting their leader back out on the field is imperative. From what the media learned Wednesday, barring a setback, it sounds like he will have the green light.
