Chicago Bulls Rumors: Potential trade packages for John Wall
By Ryan Heckman
Trade Package No. 1
The Wizards will likely want to receive some building blocks for the future along with draft picks. Heck, why not shoot for both if you’re Washington? That’s what it could come down to. For the Bulls, they could offer a couple of different packages. Let’s start with this one.
If the Bulls could get by without having to give up a first-round pick, that would be the best-case scenario. Because of that, they give up two big-time pieces in both Portis and Dunn. Obviously, trading Dunn makes sense if they are going to go after someone at the same position.
In Portis, Washington gets a big man who is well-worth starting. As Bulls fans, we know how much of a force he’s become off the bench. His game has gone to another level over the last season or so, proving he can hit from deep as well as man the paint.
The Bulls get Wall, and only Wall. He launches them immediately into the playoff picture — most likely that would be next year, when (hopefully) the rest of the gang is healthy.
