Chicago Bears: 3 defining moments from win over Vikings
By Ryan Heckman
Eddie Jackson comes up big-time yet again
Stop me if you have heard this before: Eddie Jackson made a huge play.
With the Bears still scoreless in the second half and the Vikings with a chance to go down and tie up the game, the pass rush forced an errant throw which Jackson swiftly picked off and brought back to the house.
There was still plenty of time left on the clock for the Vikings, and with weapons like Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs (who both had excellent games, despite the loss), the Bears defense knew it was far from over.
Then, Jackson did his thing.
The two touchdowns scored by Minnesota later on were essentially garbage time touchdowns against a prevent defense, but the touchdown by Jackson was the stone-cold killer in this one. There just wasn’t enough time left on the clock for the Vikings to do enough damage and make a comeback, and that was largely due to those six points put up by the second-year safety.
The Bears are 7-3 and still on top of the North. Parkey, Mack and Jackson were part of three enormous moments for their team, but don’t forget, plays were made by many in this one. There were too many big-time moments from guys like Akiem Hicks, Leonard Floyd, Adrian Amos, Danny Trevathan, Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller, Adam Shaheen, Taylor Gabriel — the list could go even further.
This team is for real. They have talent at every single position, and a game like this against the Vikings only went on to showcase it for the world to see.
Do you believe, yet?
