Play Number Five: Trubisky finds A-Rob for a 26-yard score

Robinson’s absence wasn’t really felt the past two weeks. The Bears did a great job of filling in the void left by Robinson, showing their depth and versatility on offense by using other options down the field.

But oh boy did it feel great to have Robinson back on Sunday. The Bears top wide receiver had six grabs for 133 yards, burning the Lions down the field all day.

Untouched. Robinson makes the grab on a beautifully thrown ball by Mitch Trubisky over the middle and just dashes into the end zone to put the game away.

Sunday’s breakout game from Robinson is exactly what the Bears coaches certainly loved to see prior to next week’s pivotal matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. The Bears are going to need to be able to succeed in the passing game with the Vikings dominant front-seven, and Robinson’s emergence with a big game on Sunday is a spectacular sign.

Additionally, Robinson’s production takes the pressure off of Anthony Miller and Trey Burton, who had been seeing the load of the targets with Robinson on the sidelines. Having the two as secondary options with Robinson’s health just makes an already dangerous Bears offense more-and-more scary.

Sure, Darius Slay being out maybe helped Robinson’s performance, but regardless, its great to see A-Rob back on the field making plays.
