Chicago Bulls: Three 2019 NBA Draft prospects worth tanking for
The Chicago Bulls’ season is off to a rough start, causing many to already look towards next season, namely the NBA draft. Here are three prospects to watch.
The Chicago Bulls‘ 2018 season has been a disaster.
At 4-9, it certainly isn’t too soon to look towards the future. A big part of that future is the NBA draft, where the Bulls can expect to add another future difference-maker.
Although the Bulls could have a substantial amount of salary cap space next season — depending on what they do with Jabari Parker — it is just as important for teams to build through the draft.

In the last two drafts, the Bulls have selected sixth and seventh overall, respectively. The Bulls can expect to pick around the same time next summer, and can again expect to add a future piece of their core.
The Bulls have already built a solid core. Lauri Markkanen, Zach Lavine and Wendell Carter Jr. are all looking like studs for the Bulls.
However, the three clearly aren’t enough just yet. The Bulls are definitely at least a piece or two away from contending, and they can add one of those pieces next summer via the 2019 NBA Draft.
Defense should be the Bulls’ top priority in the draft. Whether it comes in the form of a wing or a big man, the Bulls have a serious, glaring lack of any sort of defense on their current roster. Luckily, next year’s draft class doesn’t lack in defensive potential and ability. Therefore, it’s critical they land one of those players.
Let’s get right into it. Here are three players that are almost certainly worth “tanking” for.
Yes, they really are that good.
