Chicago Bears: 3 reasons the Bills are a sneaky matchup
By Ryan Heckman
The Buffalo Bills are anything but a cake walk. Don’t let their record fool you.
Week 9 sees the 4-3 Chicago Bears travel to the East coast to take on the 2-6 Buffalo Bills. Believe me, I would love to think this is an easy matchup.
Heck, I thought the Miami Dolphins were an easy matchup.

Back to the topic at hand. The Bills may be 2-6, but they’re coming off a primetime loss to the New England Patriots where they hung with their AFC East rivals for three quarters. Of course, Tom Brady and the Patriots did what they do best in the fourth quarter.
But, those who watched the game know just as well as I do: The Bills’ defense kept them in this one as long as they possibly could. It was Buffalo’s offense that couldn’t get it done.
The Bears, meanwhile, come off a home victory over the New York Jets and are looking to win their second in a row. Sitting atop the NFC North at the moment, another win would bode well considering they will then play three straight divisional games.
The Bears need this win and they need it badly. They should be 5-2 — maybe even 6-1. A couple of close games may have swung in a different direction had it not been for one or two plays. If the Bears can get to 5-3, the remainder of their season looks a bit more promising. 4-4 looks a whole lot different.
To get there, though, they’ll need to take care of business in Buffalo. These Bills are no pushover, and here’s why.
