Win or lose, the Chicago Bears’ 2018 season could be altered immensely this week against the New England Patriots.

With a three-game winning streak sandwiched between two crushing losses, these Chicago Bears are a little tough to figure out. For much of the season, this team has featured an absolutely dominating pass rush, leading to the Bears’ name atop many statistical categories on defense.

Meanwhile, it looks like quarterback Mitch Trubisky is turning a page. He has made some impressive throws over the last couple of weeks, along with doing it with his legs. He’s still thrown into areas where he shouldn’t have on occasions, but as a young and developing quarterback, that’s going to happen.

The back field has been a polarizing area for Chicago, too. With Tarik Cohen taking on a much bigger role, some wonder what is going to happen with Jordan Howard, as he hasn’t seen as big of a role as his counterpart.

Against Miami, the pass rush was non-existent. Now, the Bears head into a matchup with the defending AFC champion New England Patriots. The areas we saw them falter in vs. Miami better be shored up in a hurry, or this game could turn disastrous.

On the other hand, if the Bears come out firing on all cylinders and somehow pull out a victory over Tom Brady and his Pats, the rest of their season looks a whole lot different.

Depending on the outcome of this one, the rest of the season could take on polar opposite ends of the spectrum. This game against the Patriots could be a season-altering game. Why?
