The Chicago Bears had a big day on Sunday, destroying the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-10 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Here are three reasons to be excited after the big win.

The Chicago Bears needed a big performance on both sides of the ball against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad that has unexpectedly thrived this season.

Both teams started 2-1 on the year, but there were major concerns on the Bears’ side about young quarterback Mitch Trubisky. He silenced a lot of doubters on Sunday.

Trubisky threw for six touchdowns and didn’t turn the ball over in a big win that restored confidence in the young quarterback. He had five touchdowns in the first half alone. A lot of the throwing issues that were present in the first three games of the season didn’t show up against the Bucs.

The Bears have a bye week next week, and it was important for the team to go into that off time with some confidence and momentum. The team did just that and then some on Sunday, and now they sit alone in first place in the NFC North.

After a week of needed rest, the Bears have a big matchup on the road against the surprising Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are 3-1, and it will be important for the Bears to keep their momentum going after the bye week when the team plays each team in the AFC East over four consecutive weeks.

For now, it’s exciting to see the Bears with a winning record and alone atop their division. While there are still a lot of unknowns with this team, it feels good to see them succeed after so many years of struggling and being mediocre. Here are three reasons to be excited after this big Bears victory.
