The Chicago Bears went into Arizona on Sunday and got an ugly 16-14 win over the Cardinals. It was a rough showing, but a win is a win. Here are three Bears players who deserve an award after this victory.

The Chicago Bears were expected to dominate the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in the desert. Instead, the team found themselves down 14-0 in the first quarter on the road. The passing game looked terrible, and it was up to the defense to bail them out again. Many defenders stepped up to help the team squeak out a 16-14 win. There are still a lot of concerns coming off this game.

The Bears have one of the best defenses in the league, and it’s clear that if the team’s offense excels this team could be playoff-bound. But the offense has looked pedestrian through the first three weeks of the season. Offensive guru and first-year coach Matt Nagy was supposed to bring creativity to offensive playcalling and help the Bears move the ball down the field.

Nagy has been extremely shaky in his first three games. He abandoned the run in week one against the Packers, and it allowed them to mount a comeback and beat the Bears. He seems to be a bit worried about throwing downfield, as most Bears passes are from short routes. There will always be some growing pains with new coaches, but Nagy doesn’t look confident out there.

Despite a poor showing on offense, there were still a lot of standouts for the Bears in this game. I’ve assembled a list of three players that I’ll give an “Award” to after this winning performance. They may not all be positive, though.
