Chicago Bears: Three keys to beating Arizona Cardinals
Second Key to the Game: Prevent a breakout from David Johnson
Two seasons ago, David Johnson was arguably the best running back in the NFL.
One injury-riddled season removed, and Johnson is one of the biggest offensive question marks in the NFL through two weeks.
In two games, Johnson has struggled to make any sort of an impact, totaling just 118 all-purpose yards and one touchdown.

Through their first two games, the Chicago Bears have been one of the best teams in terms of run-stopping on defense. Against the Packers and Seahawks, the Bears have allowed just 153 total yards on the ground.
Despite the Cardinals’ struggles and the Bears’ success, the Bears cannot let Johnson break out. Johnson isn’t far removed from his status as one of the leagues elite backs, and certainly still has a huge game in him, especially if given the chance.
The Bears just need to stick to their previous scheme stopping the run, while putting more emphasis on covering Johnson in the passing game, as Johnson has the potential to make a big impact through the air.
If the Bears successfully follow the first two keys to the game, it’ll be very, very difficult for the Bears to lose this game.
