2. Multiple All-Stars?

The second way these Bulls could surprise us is by potentially giving Chicago multiple All-Star players in this year’s weekend festivities. Who could those guys be? Well, let’s start with everything except the big game.

You will definitely see Markkanen in the Rising Stars Game, and I’d be willing to bet Carter is a lock for that contest as well. If Hutchison gets minutes as a rookie, he could find himself there as well.

Maybe Kris Dunn gets into the skills challenge if he finally busts loose as the guy he was supposed to be coming out of college a couple of years ago. Maybe LaVine decides to give the Slam Dunk Contest another go.

Any of the former is possible, but what I’d be most excited to see is if guys like LaVine, Parker and/or Markkanen could make it into the All-Star Game itself. The Bulls need to find their “guy,” first and foremost. Will that be LaVine? Or, will it be Markkanen, like the front office alluded to at the start of the offseason?

If Fred Hoiberg builds this team around Markkanen, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities to see him get the nod. The only question then, is whether LaVine or Parker could join him?

Once again, this is if everything goes right. But, what happens if it were to go the other way around?
