The Chicago Bears left their fans with an empty, sinking feeling after their performance in last night’s NFC North matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Along with anticipation, the buzz surrounding the game had steadily increased ever since Ryan Pace pulled off a trade for All-Pro Khalil Mack.
That frenzied state reached a crescendo last night when the two teams squared off at Lambeau Field as the Packers commemorated the start of their 100th season as a franchise. Packers fans had all day to get good and lathered up for this one.
On the other side, Bears fans have been longing for this game ever since the press conference to announce the firing of John Fox. After the offseason that the Bears had, one couldn’t help but be excited and hopeful for the start of a new season.
