Chicago Bears: Bold predictions for Week 1 against Packers
By Ryan Heckman
Khalil Mack, Leonard Floyd, Akiem Hicks all sack Rodgers
Is this bold? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, it could end up just being wishful thinking on my part — but also fairly realistic. It’s not crazy to think both of the Bears starting edge rushers get a sack on Aaron Rodgers on Sunday night.

Mack is arguably the most lethal pass rusher in all of football, so to say he comes away with a sack is not the most outlandish prediction. The same goes for Leonard Floyd, who has 3.5 sacks in his two-career against Green Bay.
Then, there’s Akiem Hicks, who was the Bears’ leading sack master last season with 8.5. He’s had him some Rodgers-on-the-turf in the past, and I guarantee he’s yearning for more.
This pass rush will be a nightmare all night long for the Packers’ offensive line — a line which has struggled with some injuries in recent years and never seems to be 100 percent healthy for too long.
Vic Fangio will surely dial up some interesting blitz packages throughout the night, and I wouldn’t doubt if Rodgers hits the ground several times with the Bears coming up with a handful of sacks. Sunday night’s game won’t be your typical beatdown at Lambeau in favor of the Packers. No, this one will be much, much different.
