The 2018 NFL season is upon us, and we have some bold predictions for the Chicago Bears taking on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau.

It is almost that time. We are just days away from re-igniting the fire of the oldest rivalry in football. Chicago Bears fans are eagerly awaiting Week 1’s matchup with the Green Bay Packers, and for good reason.

More from Da Windy City

In recent years, the Packers have gotten the best of the Bears on the majority of occasions. It has been a difficult road for the Bears under the leadership of head coaches like John Fox and Marc Trestman. While the last three head coaches have won their debut matchups against the Packers, the rest of those games haven’t exactly all gone according to plan.

New head coach Matt Nagy comes into the organization as a youthful, offensive-minded leader who has a lot of intuitive ideas and schemes to offer a team featuring plenty of youth themselves. Retaining Vic Fangio to run the defense and bringing in Mark Helfrich to run his offense, Nagy certainly established a tone within his mostly-new coaching staff.

The Bears will travel to Green Bay and take on the Packers at Lambeau Field for 2018’s very first Sunday Night Football affair. This game could be on the verge of breaking all kinds of Sunday Night Football ratings, especially now that the Bears have added All-Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack.

The weapons on both offense and defense are aplenty for the Bears, and in order to take down the Packers, those weapons are going to have to come alive in a way we rarely see in a Bears team. Not only do I predict the weapons to come alive, but I also offer these five bold predictions for your viewing pleasure.
