The Chicago Bears were given the luxury of five preseason games this year. A handful of players consistently stepped up and proved worthy of a roster spot.

Fans everywhere can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The 2018 NFL Preseason is officially over, and the Chicago Bears are in pretty good shape, health-wise. Going into Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, the Bears should have all of their starters on the field in full health, which is something many teams cannot say.

Following the last exhibition against the Buffalo Bills, the Bears’ coaching staff is going to come together to make some tough calls. I would say that at least 40-to-45 spots were set going into the game, therefore Matt Nagy and company are going to have to be very selective when choosing those final 8-to-13 players to make this roster.

When looking at the preseason overall, I loved what I saw from this team. Personally, I am fine with the starters not getting as much run as they typically should have. It gave us a chance to see many of the younger guys step up and play pivotal roles, showcasing what they could do if given a chance.

There were several players who stood out over the course of the Bears’ five preseason games, but a few in particular made quite the impression on me. It is safe to say not every one of the following players may end up on the final 53-man roster. Although, I hope they do.

Take a look at the five players who performed consistently well for the Bears throughout the majority of the preseason.
