Bold Prediction No. 2

Jordan Howard leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns

This might sound a little outlandish, considering all of the hype around whether or not he can be the workhorse, every down back in Nagy’s offense. But, if you take a step back and look a little closer, you’ll notice this is more than doable.

For some reason, Howard continues to be disrespected and overlooked by most of the national media. Heck, Madden 2019 rated him as the 19th-best running back in the NFL.

Excuse me? That’s essentially hauling off and slapping him in the face. Get a grip, folks.

Howard ranked third in the NFL with nine rushing touchdowns in 2017. Any recollection as to who was first? Oh yeah, a guy by the name of Todd Gurley.

Again, with the Rams, you say?

It just so happened to work out like this.

Howard could definitely end up leading the league in rushing touchdowns this season. Finishing last year ranked third in the league, on an offense which was second-to-last in overall offensive plays run, is downright impressive.

Imagine what he could do on an offense that actually moves the ball and gets into the red zone more frequently. He will have plenty more chances to score this season. That’s a fact. Anyone who can put up nine rushing touchdowns in a John Fox offense is worth much more than Howard gets credit for.

This season, look for Howard to get into double-digit touchdowns on the ground — and do it easily.
