Bold Prediction No. 3
Carter will lead the Bulls in three-point percentage
As analysts reviewed Carter’s skills leading up to the draft, you saw them highlight his all-around game for the most part. A lot of them talked about how well-rounded his skillset is, but most of that focused on general offense and defense — i.e. an inside game.
One of the things some may have overlooked is Carter’s ability to knock down the long ball. For those who don’t know, Carter his the three ball at a 41.3 percent clip in his last season at Duke.

He’s been knocked for average athleticism, but Wendell Carter Jr. has very few weaknesses. He might be the best passer in the draft and can space the floor at 3. #RingerNBA pic.twitter.com/4huJZAXor6
Now, Carter only took 1.2 three-point shots per game last year. That’s not a huge number. But, part of that was likely because the team had so many options offensively. Duke was a team with championship aspirations, which boasted many players with the potential to fill it up on any given night.
Now that Carter is on the Bulls, he has a chance to become one of their primary options next to Markkanen and Zach LaVine. Chicago doesn’t have much beyond those three — unless you want to bank on a healthy Jabari Parker — in terms of scoring potential.

Will Carter lead the Bulls in three-point attempts? No, that will undoubtedly be Markkanen. However, I boldly predict his efficiency (percentage) will be the highest on the team when it’s all said and done.
