Chicago Bulls: 5 bold predictions for Zach LaVine in 2018-2019

Bold Prediction Number 3
For the first time in his career, LaVine will notch a point-rebound double-double
It is pretty remarkable for such an athletic guard, standing 6-foot-5, to have never pulled off a double-double that included 10 or more rebounds. LaVine has finished with double-digit assists before, including a career-best 14 as a rookie.
But, he’s never pulled down more than nine rebounds in a game. LaVine has accomplished that five times in his career, most recently against the Los Angeles Clippers back in February of the 2017-2018 season.
By comparison, LaVine’s fellow guards have even accomplished this task. Both Denzel Valentine and Justin Holiday have finished with double-digit rebounds in a game — and both have done it twice.
Heck, even Kris Dunn has tied LaVine’s career-high of nine rebounds in a game.
This isn’t to say that LaVine should be pulling down upwards of seven or eight boards per game, because that’s not his M.O. But, this is an area he could improve just a bit. The good news is, as of last season, that area appeared to be on the rise.
I think LaVine is due for a game like this. He isn’t known as a great rebounder by any means, but hey, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.
I hate that saying, but it applied.
