March 5th at Indiana Pacers

We begin the final stretch with a road game with just a little over a month left in the schedule. On March 5th, the Bulls travel to Indianapolis to square off with the Pacers. Last year, the Pacers were one of the surprise teams not just in the East, but all of the NBA.

The emergence of Victor Oladipo was a pleasant surprise for basketball fans in general. The potential was always there for Oladipo, but the Pacers provided him an environment where he could finally settle in and bust loose.

Outside of Oladipo, the Pacers will have another veteran guard joining the back court this year. Indiana brought in point guard Tyreke Evans, who averaged 19 points, five rebounds and five assists a year ago in a season where his outstanding line may have been overlooked.

Intriguing matchup: Wendell Carter Jr. vs. Myles Turner

A matchup that will be quite fun to watch in this one, assuming health, is the Bull’s no. 7 overall pick in Carter going up against 22-year-old center Myles Turner. This offseason, Turner seems to have taken his training up a notch and is looking absolutely jacked.

An already big dude, Turner will be a fun late season test for Carter, who boasts a much different type of frame. The longer, lankier Carter will look to hold his own against a young, emerging center in Turner.

The Pacers will be a tough test for the Bulls, especially on the road. If Chicago can kick off the last month of the season with a victory here, the momentum sparked could give them a boost heading into a potential playoff surge.
