Chicago Bulls: Most anticipated aspects of the 2018-19 season schedule
By Jason Parini
Versus Los Angeles Lakers, Tuesday March 12
It’s always been special when the Lakers come to Chicago. It’s always been special when LeBron James comes to Chicago. Combine the two, and it makes for must-see, historic basketball at the Madhouse.
We all know the storyline here — LeBron James leaves the Cleveland Cavaliers and signs with the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the most historic franchises in all of sports.
LeBron, Lonzo Ball and the Lakers head to Chicago for the first time on March 12, marking the first time that James plays in Chicago as a member of the Western Conference. The two teams will play their typical home and away series this year. Last year, the Bulls lost both matchups to the Lakers.
Besides the arrival of James and Ball for the first time together in Chicago, the Bulls will also see a familiar face in purple and gold. Well, two if former Bulls All-Star Luol Deng suits up for the Lakers this year.
Regardless, the Bulls will face off against former Bull Rajon Rondo, who signed a one-year deal with the Lakers and will compete for the starting point guard position with Ball.
The Bulls will then jet out to Los Angeles to play the Clippers at the Staples Center.
