The Chicago Bears took on the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night. Let’s take a look at some of the players that stood out.

Although it was technically the Chicago Bears’ second preseason game, it was really their first since the Hall of Fame game is more or less practice. All training camp we’ve seen certain Bears players shine in drills and scrimmages. However, that is no substitute for live game action. So it was interesting to see who could carry that momentum into Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bears lost by a score of 30-27. It wasn’t an exciting game at all, but preseason games aren’t supposed to be. The only exception was Mitch Trubisky‘s first game against the Denver Broncos where he sent Soldier Field into a buzz by completing his first ten passes of the night.

Trubisky isn’t on this list, but that’s perfectly fine. It’s much more important to see him commanding the huddle, getting the play out and making sure players properly lined up.

However, there were a few notable players, who are expected to play big roles this season, that did stand out. Sure, it’s only the first preseason game, but you can still evaluate players that are expected to make an impact.

So, let’s go ahead and take a look at those players that stood out from the rest.
