Chicago Bears Rumors: Potential trade packages for Aaron Donald
Trade Package Number Two:
If there’s one constant in NFL trades that involve players, its that they typically benefit both sides.
The Bears might not be willing to do the above move, but if they don’t want to give up the majority of their future draft picks, this would probably be the only other option.

The Rams would be giving up an all-world player in Aaron Donald. They’d be getting a future first-rounder in return, as well as a future third and fifth rounder.
However, they’re still a competing team. The Rams won the NFC West last season, and have locked up all of their franchise players this summer, except for Donald.
If the Rams want to keep their defense at an elite level while shipping off Donald, they could ask for Akiem Hicks. Hicks is under contract through the 2020 season, and is getting paid $30-million guaranteed. The Rams would be getting a Pro Bowl caliber defensive frontman, while getting relieved of the contractual troubles. Additionally, the Rams would save money, as Donald is worth much more than $30-million.
Sure, it’s pretty unlikely. The Bears probably wouldn’t be interested in surrendering a large sum of future picks, nor would they want to lose their defensive leader on the field and in the locker room.
But let’s keep in mind: Donald hasn’t been mentioned in any trade talks. Nobody has any idea who would be interested, or what it would cost. At the very least, it’s an intriguing idea, albeit a risky one.
