Trade Package No. 3

This last package is somewhat of a mixture of the first two. The Raiders’ secondary is certainly hurting and could use another guy in the mix. But, with the way John Gruden has been adding the old veterans in his first year as head coach, the Raiders are going to need draft capital in the near future once the aging players are done.

In the final scenario, the Bears send off safety Deon Bush along with a first-round selection and fourth-round selection in future drafts.

Bush has been having a fantastic offseason thus far, and has looked competitive in camp. Since OTA’s, Bush has been someone whom fans have taken notice of simply because he was noticed by his coaching staff as one of the standouts of those practices.

As fans, most of us couldn’t believe it. But, here we are in training camp, and his stock continues to rise. Maybe a change of scenery pushes him over the hump, finally.

For the Bears, this might be their best-case scenario. They don’t give up any starters in the deal, while also only giving up a single first-round pick. If the return-on-investment numbers equal out to be double-digit sacks from Mack in each of the coming four or five years, this deal is a no-brainer.

The question is, would Pace make the call?
