Chicago Bulls: Ranking top 5 key players for 2018-2019

Point Guard Kris Dunn
After rumors were spread that the Bulls weren’t happy with third-year point guard Kris Dunn, some wondered if he would be dealt or if the team would go after a point guard in this year’s draft. All of it seemed to be just what we thought it was — a rumor. Going into this season, Dunn is the clear-cut starting point guard and he can focus on being the leader at that position he was brought in to be.
What he does well
Dunn has all of the potential to be the best perimeter defender on this team. His length and athleticism allow him to comfortable guard the one and two positions, and he can even match up with many threes.
At times, Dunn can score the ball with ease. If he starts to feel it, he has a natural ability to get to the hoop where he can finish. He’s also an above-average passer, but has not had the amount of weapons needed to showcase this fully.
What he needs to prove
If I’m Dunn, I want to prove that, not only am I a great defender, but I can score at an efficient rate. Too many times last year saw Dunn try to take over, thus forcing some ugly shots and poor decision-making. If he is truly the point guard of the future for the Bulls, he will have to become much more stable in his overall game and not as sporadic.
