Looking at the Chicago Bulls roster as a whole, who are the most important players to next season’s success? We’ve got your top five.

This offseason has been a crazy one for the entire NBA. Free agency was quite the ride, as the biggest domino to fall was of course LeBron James going to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Chicago Bulls did a few things of their own, but is it enough to make any noise in the Eastern Conference?

The Bulls added former Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker while keeping their most important free agent in Zach LaVine. Of course, through the draft, the Bulls added Wendell Carter Jr. and Chandler Hutchison.

This team has the making of an intriguing one, to say the least. In a wide-open Eastern Conference, the Bulls at least have a shot to compete for one of the final playoff seeds. It is not out of the realm of possibilities to see the Bulls sneak their way into the postseason.

Now, as most fans are thinking, the Bulls would be much better off continuing the rebuild and settling for another year of subpar basketball, on their way to yet one more lottery pick in next year’s draft.

But, it is worth mentioning that this team has a shot to contend for the postseason as it stands now. If everyone stays healthy (which is a big “if”) and plays to their potential, I see no reason why the Bulls couldn’t be a seventh or eighth seed in the East.

To do so, they are going to need a few key players to step up and do some things differently. There are five players I want to highlight on this team who already do a few things well. But, they are going to have to prove themselves in certain areas for this team to be as successful as possible in 2018-2019.
