In honor of the 2018 Hall of Fame Game, we take a look at five recent Chicago Bears players who are deserving of a gold jacket.

The Chicago Bears are in full swing of their 2018 training camp down in Bourbonnais, and as fans, we couldn’t be more excited for the season. Entering this week, the team is just three days away from their first live action with the extra preseason game.

More from Da Windy City

The 2018 NFL Hall of Fame Game is scheduled for this Thursday night as the Bears take on the Baltimore Ravens. Most of the high-profile players, such as the starters, won’t likely take the field. But, there are still plenty of things to keep an eye on.

This week is a big one for the Bears. Not only do they have their first live game action, but they get to witness one of the greatest Bears ever be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Brian Urlacher.

In honor of Urlacher’s moment and the week leading up to it, I thought it would be intriguing to look at a handful of players who should follow in his footsteps in the coming years. Whether they are still playing or are recently retired, there are a few Bears who are worthy of joining Urlacher in Canton eventually.

Let’s take a look at five of those more recent players (last 20 years) who could, and should, find themselves wearing a gold jacket sooner or later.
