Kyle Fuller looks like a true number one corner

Buying

A lot has changed in a year for Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller. At this same time last year, many wondered if he would make the team. The Bears brought in free agents Prince Amukamara and Marcus Cooper. The assumption was that they were near-locks to be your opening week starters.

Amukamara struggled with injuries at the beginning of the year. Cooper fell out of favor with the coaches which opened the door for Fuller to take the job. Once Fuller got the opportunity he turned a solid season into a big contract extension this offseason.

With a new ,m contract, you had to wonder if Fuller would become a little too comfortable; that so far hasn’t been the case. Reports out of camp, thus far, are that Fuller is showing the progression of a number one cornerback. A couple years ago it wasn’t looking too good, and now the Bears might have gotten lucky.

It’s looking like Fuller is set to have a career spike in 2018. Fuller will have his hands full this season going up against the likes of Odell Beckham, Davante Adams (twice), Stefon Diggs (twice), and Mike Evans. The way Fuller has performed in camp even with the big contract, he seems to be up for the challenge.
