Chicago Bears Training Camp: 5 recent standout players
By Ryan Heckman
Wide Receiver Anthony Miller
Everybody has been excited to see Anthony Miller take the field each day of practice. The second round pick is already one of the fan favorites, even more so than Gentry. Folks know what this kid brings to the table and, from the moment he was drafted, have been anxious to see it on the field in a Bears uniform.
Other than this nice little sample, Miller has made tons of plays. There was one particular deep ball down the left sideline that Miller reeled in and had the crowd going crazy.
If there is one thing I’ve taken away from watching Miller thus far, it’s that he truly wants to make the big play. Not only does he want to make the big play, but he does it with a bit of a swagger — the crowd can feel it.
What is fun to watch, other than his play on the field, is how the veterans react when he makes a play. Following that big catch in Thursday’s action, he came to the sideline to a slew of congratulatory teammates.
The veterans know what kind of player the Bears have with Miller. They can already see how important he is going to be to this offense, and that speaks volumes.
