The Chicago Bulls are now considering other options with the signing of Jabari Parker. The recent Kawhi Leonard move may open up possibilities for the Mad House on Madison.

Now that the Chicago Bulls are starting to act like they care about contending for a high playoff spot, the signing of former Milwaukee Buck Jabari Parker seems to do the trick on paper. Yet there may be more surprises on the way from the Bulls as we move forward.

One potential move the Bulls might be willing to make is to sign true center Jahlil Okafor, formerly of the Brooklyn Nets. Last season, Okafor put up only 6.4 points per game with 0.6 blocks and 0.4 steals in 26 games with the Nets. But the one saving grace for the possibility of Okafor signing with the Bulls would be that entering a new Bulls system might give Okafor a boost that we have not seen from him in quite a while. Also — taking into consideration the young, hungry players Okafor would now have around him — it might just be what it takes for him Okafor to snap out of his slump.

Since the talk of the town has been the news that Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green are headed to Toronto, let’s discuss another possible San Antonio Spurs player that may fit well into the new-look Bulls system.

The last potential pick-up that I see making a complete difference for the Bulls — that also may compliment Parker and Okafor — would be Spurs free-agent Darrun Hilliard. Now, please pick your jaws off the floor so I may explain.

With Green and Leonard leaving the Spurs, now is the time to cash in on what I see as diamonds in the rough. Hilliard only put up 1.1 points per game with 0.8 assists on only 6.8 minutes per game. My thinking in this situation is that you have a team in the Bulls that may let him fully flourish to the point that — with solid pieces around him, like Okafor and Parker — may provide the needed boost to the Bulls morale. This is assuming Okafor and Parker would pan out, of course. But, the Bulls seem to be all about potential this summer.
