Lonzo Ball is a special talent. Regardless of the shooting struggles and off-court turmoil, the Bulls would be receiving a potential franchise cornerstone for years to come.

But where would Ball fit on the current Bulls roster?

Chicago Bulls starting five (as of 6/30):

PG: Kris Dunn

SG: Zach Lavine

SF: Denzel Valentine

PF: Lauri Markkanen

C: Wendell Carter Jr/Robin Lopez

A quick glance at the current Bulls starting five shows that there’s some serious flexibility. Lavine, Markkanen and Carter can all play multiple positions, which would make it easier to fit Ball in.

G: Ball

G: Dunn

SF: Lavine

PF: Markkanen

C: Carter Jr./Lopez

Valentine is the clear weak link of the starting five, therefore moving him to the bench should be no problem. Dunn and Ball can divide the ball-handling duties, assuming that Dunn is still on the Bulls after a trade.

Given Ball’s talent and productivity, the Bulls would adjust the rotation to make room for Ball rather than forcing Ball to work his way into the rotation. Ball would fit nicely into the current Bulls lineup as well as the future Bulls lineup, so theres no doubt that the Bulls would be interested.
