NBA free agency is set to begin just days from now, and the Chicago Bulls appear as a landing spot for two notable names.

July 1st, the NBA world is going to get rocked by teams fluttering to sign free agents as efficiently as possible. The Chicago Bulls, while not necessarily pegged as huge players this summer, may already have their sites set on a couple of players.

It is clear that the Bulls need more depth on the wing. Zach LaVine may or may not be back, but regardless, they would still need to add talent there. Chandler Hutchison, Denzel Valentine, David Nwaba and Justin Holiday aren’t about to scare opposing teams from the perimeter. If they opt to let LaVine walk, they will need even more help.

Well, it appears they could be ready to go after a couple of players to fill the void.

With the Indiana Pacers declining the option on Lance Stephenson, it is now a firm possibility the Bulls are in the mix for the man famous for blowing in the ear of LeBron James a few years back. All jokes aside, Stephenson would be a welcome addition.

He’s a solid defender on the perimeter and one of those hustlers you like to have coming off the bench. Stephenson isn’t a lethal scorer, but not a terrible one either as he shot over 42 percent from the field last season. He also finished last year with the second-most rebounds per game (5.2) he’s had in his career.

Aside from Stephenson, the Bulls are also a potential landing spot for another wing coming off a season which saw him take the biggest stage in the sport.

Frank Urbina of HoopsHype pegged the Bulls recently as an ideal spot for Rodney Hood. Funny enough, he’s been one of the guys on my radar as a fan, and I have to say I would most definitely be on board with this move.

Hood wasn’t used nearly as much as he should have been with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. While they still may opt to bring him back, the Bulls should see Hood as an ideal fit. He is a lengthy wing at 6-foot-9 who can rebound well and consistently score (over 14 points per game in 2017-2018).
