Chicago Bulls: 5 teams who could pry away Zach LaVine

Philadelphia 76ers
This is where it could get real interesting for the Eastern Conference. The Philadelphia 76ers have $27.6 million to spend in cap room and already have one of the top squads in the conference. Whether or not they bring back J.J. Redick will speak volumes about their free agency plans, but we already know they are likely to be a top destination for LeBron James.
Let’s say the Sixers miss out on LeBron. They also choose to let Redick walk. At that point, it opens the door for another player who would likely take up a larger contract at the two guard spot. There you go, it’s LaVine.
With Joel Embiid, Dario Saric and Ben Simmons front-lining a beautifully-young core of talent, LaVine would fit right in. In fact, he might just make the Sixers the early favorite in the East, depending on what else happens in what should be a crazy free agency period.
Imagine that team, just for a second. They have everything you could possibly want in a title contender. They have the shooting, the defense, the guys who can distribute — and they just added an all-around scorer who can bring the house down at the rim.

If I’m the Bulls, the Sixers might just be the last place I want to see LaVine end up. In that case, it would make sense to match a larger deal — one of the rare instances you’ll see me say that.
