Chicago Bulls: 5 teams who could pry away Zach LaVine
By Ryan Heckman
Atlanta Hawks
Another team with some cash to spend this summer is the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks just wrapped up a pretty exciting 2018 NBA Draft which saw them execute a trade with the Dallas Mavericks, sending them Luka Doncic and in return getting Oklahoma product Trae Young, as well as a future protected draft pick. Now, it’s onto the more difficult part — finding guys who want to come play for a franchise that isn’t anywhere close to a championship contender.
The Hawks have just over $27 million in cap room this summer and could use some help in their back court next to Young. Having a score-first point guard now like Young who can also deliver the ball at an excellent rate would be a great pairing with LaVine. While LaVine can create for himself at times, it would help to have a little pressure taken off of him with a potentially-great point guard like Young.

Atlanta is one of those teams I could see spending a lot of money on certain players this summer, simply due to the fact that they probably won’t be able to lure any of the bigger names — a la the Bulls. LaVine and Young would help put Atlanta right back into contention for a later playoff spot in the weaker Eastern Conference.
