Chicago Bears: 5 early predictions for training camp
By Ryan Heckman
As training camp nears, we begin to take a look at some storylines and early predictions for the Chicago Bears.
Things have been a bit quiet on the Chicago Bears front as of late, which isn’t always a bad thing. The Bears are taking their month off from practicing and team-related activities before gearing up for training camp in Bourbonnais, IL on July 21st.
The national media seems to be on board with the Bears being this year’s version of the Los Angeles Rams. Fans are anxious for what head coach Matt Nagy has brought to the organization. Players seem much more energized and excited all over their social media. The entire organization just has a great feel to it right now, and I couldn’t be more thrilled for Bears football come September.
Before they take the field in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, though, the Bears still have a lot of work to do in figuring out how this roster is going to take its final shape. I can assure you, we know a lot more about this team than we did a year ago. But, there are some areas and position groups where we are waiting to see what happens.
Every fan has their own set of preconceived notions or predictions heading into training camp, but here are five of them I could genuinely see taking shape. Let’s begin by addressing a recent attempt at a hype-train headed in the wrong direction for a young player on the come-up.
