Chicago Bulls: Every reason to draft Trae Young
Reason no. 1: Shooting
How do you win a basketball game?
You score more points than the other team.
Unfortunately, the Bulls didn’t accomplish that feat too often last season. However, Trae Young may just be the best guy to make up for all of those points. Take a look at Young’s gaudy shooting stats from last season.
2017-18 Season Stats: 27.4 points per game (Division-One Leading), 42.2 percent field goal percentage, 36 percet three-point percentage, 86.1 percent free throw percentage
No shame if you had to give those stats a double-take. They’re pretty hard to believe.
Now let’s take a look at the Bulls’ shooting stats as a team from last season.
102.9 points per game (26th in NBA), 43.5 field goal percentage (worst in NBA), 35.5 three-point percentage (21st in NBA), 75.9 free throw percentage (20th in NBA)
There you have it. The Bulls ranked in the bottom-third in the four major shooting stats, most notably ranking last in the NBA in field goal percentage. Yikes.

This should be a no-brainer. Why wouldn’t the Bulls, who clearly need shooting, go after arguably the best shooter in the country?
Additionally, Young would have the opportunity to take over games as he did at Oklahoma. Young would enter Chicago as the top scoring option, and he would have every opportunity to shine in the same role that he shined so brightly in at Oklahoma.
