Chicago Bulls: 3 players who could slip to no. 7 overall
By Ryan Heckman
Center Jaren Jackson Jr., Michigan State
2017-2018 Statistics: 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game
Why he could fall
Looking at the previous scenario, it’s obvious that Jackson could fall to the Bulls. Bamba may even be jumping ahead of Jackson in a lot of team’s minds because of the pre-draft process and how the former Texas stud has lit up the eyes of teams everywhere with his physical prowess.
Let’s say the Magic do indeed go with Young like Bleacher Report suggests. If Ayton, Doncic, Bamba, Bagley, Porter and Young all go before the Bulls, that leaves Jackson there for the taking potentially. It might sound crazy at the moment, but with all of the love for a few guys just outside the top five or six prospects right now, it’s not too off point.
Fit with the Bulls
Jackson’s fit with the Bulls might be the best out of all these guys. Because Markkanen is more offensively skilled, it would help to have just the opposite next to him. Jackson is a fantastic defender. Although his numbers might not suggest he’s the most well-rounded prospect, that’s on the contrary.

Jackson played with a lot of very good players last year and did not have to be relied on too much in one particular area, other than his protecting the paint. Jackson blocked shots at an alarmingly high rate last season — 5.5 per 40 minutes to be exact. His athleticism and presence around the rim would be a huge addition in Chicago.
