Why the Chicago Bulls must get Michael Porter Jr.
Why Chicago Bulls need Porter Jr.
Porter Jr. is a pure versatile scoring forward. He has pretty good speed in the open floor for his size at 6-10, with or without the ball in his hands. With the ball in his hands, Porter Jr. has the capability to create a one-man fast break off a snatch rebound.

As a shooter, Porter is pretty good in the mid and long range department. He’s good at floor spacing, but also has a deadly step back jumper off the dribble to create space between him and the defender. Porter’s ability to knock down the three ball alongside Markkanen would open up more driving opportunities for Lavine and Dunn.
Porter defense leaves little to desire. However, that should improve when he eventually packs on more bulk and around professional coaches at the next level. He has the athleticism and enough length to be at the very least a solid defender.
The Bulls can’t punk out and draft the safe choice at number seven. If Porter is there at seven, it’s no question he should be the pick. The team is desperate for another star to get them in contention again, Porter has the potential to be just that with time.
Bulls fans just envision Lavine reaching his potential as a dynamic scoring guard. Markannen being that versatile scoring four that gives opposing frontcourts headaches. Dunn being the floor general and two-way guard. To add, Porter giving you a versatile scoring forward that can possibly take over games?
