Chicago Bears should consider these still-available free agents

1. Inside Linebacker Navorro Bowman
At this point in his career, I wonder if Navorro Bowman would be fine with coming off the bench? It sounds even weirder asking that question out loud than it did in my head, but it’s a fair question. Last year, Bowman played in five games for the San Francisco 49ers and 10 with the Oakland Raiders.
Bowman is still just 30 years old and would give the Bears several things in their pocket. First of all, he knows Vic Fangio well after playing for him in San Francisco. Bowman knows the system and tendencies of Fangio, making him a valuable player in case of injuries to either Roquan Smith or Danny Trevathan.
Second, because of his familiarity, Bowman would be a huge asset to the development of Smith as well as a great guy for both he and Trevathan to lean on. Bowman’s knowledge would be well-worth the signing above all else.

Bowman finished with 80 total tackles last year, proving he can still play. After all, he is just a couple of seasons removed from his last Pro Bowl appearance in 2015. Oh, by the way, he was also an All Pro that season as well. Bowman should have a job right now, it’s that simple. It might as well be with the Bears.
