13. Guard Lonnie Walker, Miami

Every year, there are guys whose stock rises tremendously in the weeks leading up to the draft. This year, the player whose stock has arguably risen the most is guard Lonnie Walker out of Miami. After getting an opportunity to start midway through the season, Walker ran with it.

Walker’s stock is purely based on athleticism and potential in the NBA. Because of his slashing ability and what teams may see in him down the line, Walker’s stock has risen quite a bit in the last month. You know what else has risen over time? His hair.

I digress. Although, Walker might have the coolest hair in the entire class.

Like Smith, Walker likes to live above the rim. Walker is not the most consistent shooter, but his jump shot looks pretty in action. With a little work, he could improve it to the point where teams may be able to depend on his scoring a bit more.

Last season with the Hurricanes, Walker shot 41.5 percent from the field, including just over 34 percent from beyond the arc. Personally, I don’t think he is worth a lottery pick. Maybe there are teams out there who see past all of the hype in his potential and allow him to fall out of the top 15. If that happens, I wouldn’t mind the Bulls taking a flier on him at no. 22.
