Chicago Bulls big board for 2018 NBA Draft
By Ryan Heckman
17. Guard/Forward Troy Brown Jr., Oregon
Troy Brown Jr. is a very, very intriguing player in this class. The former Oregon Duck comes into the draft as a 6-foot-7 wing who can also facilitate as more of a point-forward type of guy. Brown played point guard through almost his entire life of basketball and proved at Oregon that he can do a lot of things well with his size.
Because the NBA is becoming more position-less, Brown becomes even more tempting of a pick at no. 22. He has the ability to guard multiple positions, as well as play multiple positions. He is comfortable on the wing and is a solid defender there, but again, with his experience at point guard he can run an offense comfortably.

Brown is not going to be a guy who leads your team in scoring. He isn’t a flashy player who does one thing phenomenally well. But, he is a guy I would consider if I’m the Bulls and I may have liked Mikal Bridges a lot. Brown can absolutely translate into a solid wing player and defender as a pro and no one truly knows his ceiling at this point. Last season, Brown averaged 11.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game at Oregon — a very well-rounded line.
The one thing I think most can feel certain of regarding Brown, though, is that he has a solid floor. He is versatile enough and willing to do whatever is asked of him, and that should help his cause to become, at the very least, a great rotation player off the bench.
